2022 CENTRAL MINNESOTA WINTER DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM

2021-2022 MLA CENTRAL CLUB TEAM

The momentum continues !!!

Our MLA Central Club Team traveled to Saint Charles, Missouri on Sunday, October 17th, to participate in the Lindenwood University 7v7 tournament with no expectations, except the chance to play against teams outside of Minnesota. Lo and behold, MLA Central placed 3rd out of 14 teams, finishing 4-1 and the knowledge, our team can play with anyone. That said, considerable work on all fundamental skills, especially the ability to use both hands, in any situation, needs to continue for accelerated development. Those opportunities to get better will continue, not only for the MLA Central Club Team, but at our upcoming 2022 Winter Development Program.

To get you ready for your Spring HS season, the Winter Development Program is scheduled to start on Sunday, February 27th and last through Sunday, March 27th, 10:00a-12:00n @ St. John's University Dome. Designed for players that want to accelerate their lacrosse development, the WDP will offer two levels, a New(er) to Intermediate Level and Advanced Level, focusing on comprehensive lacrosse skill building/refinement with small-side, field play. This two-tiered approach allows for growing your Lacrosse IQ, while applying in game-like simulations. Registration will open shortly and will be limited, in order to provide the quality programming the Minnesota Lacrosse Academy is well known to deliver.

For those players wanting an elevated coaching experience and the opportunity to play against higher level competition, both instate and outstate at recruiting tournaments and/or players wanting to play at the collegiate level, the MLA Central Club Team has limited roster spots available. As the only Club Team based in central Minnesota, no more traveling long distances to learn, practice or play since the MLA is based out of DIII College of Saint Benedict and their state of the art, Stadium Field. For consideration and/or more information, contact Greg Zandlo, MLA Managing Director.
